Cap highlights
A highlighting cap is placed over the hair and fine strands are drawn through the holes with a hook, then lightened. Cap highlights give an even, all-over sprinkle of lighter strands and work especially well on short hair and for blending grey.
Foil (weave) highlights
For medium and long hair, fine sections are woven out and wrapped in foil. Foils give more control over where the light falls, from soft and natural to bright, defined blonde.
Highlights or balayage?
Highlights start closer to the root and give a brighter, more even result. Balayage is softer and grows out with less of a line. Bev will help you choose.

Questions about highlights (cap and foil)
How often should I redo my highlights?
Usually every 8 to 12 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows and how much contrast you have.
Will highlights cover my grey?
They blend it, so regrowth is far less noticeable than with a solid colour.
Do cap highlights hurt?
You'll feel the hook gently pulling strands through, but it shouldn't be painful.
